The band Lushus has been playing in a curious occupation for four years now. Two bass guitars, played by obstinate lady-singers and a tight drummer. Together they please and tease the ear with a mixture of jazz, punk, funk and no-wave. Live, Lushus tickles the senses with their energetic, lustfull, dansable and alternating style of playing and presenting.
The full-length 'Red Blushus', even as the vinyl single 'Big Fat Man' have been released on the Tocado Recordings label. The Lushus albums are a treat for the eyes with their self-made record sleeves of felt and latex. The merchandise is special too: second hand stuff, like cloths and wallets are given a new life with prints, paintings or sowings.
Lushus just recorded a new album together with Corno Zwetsloot (Next to Jaap studios). This album will be released in March 2010 by Tocado Recordings.
Recently Lushus played in Russia, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Denmark and the Netherlands.
